SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a full-time, entry-level sales position that offers broad exposure to the lead generation, nurturing, and sales process of a midsized, growing software company within the healthcare industry. This position is an excellent starting point for a sales career or other opportunities at Orchard Software, and the primary duty of this entry-level inside sales position is working via the telephone to generate and cultivate sales leads that turn into appointments and product demonstrations. This position is designed to expose you to the laboratory information system industry.
A SDR works closely with the marketing department and the sales reps in their territories to generate and nurture leads. As part of the lead generation and nurturing process, you will utilize a sales engagement Platform (Sales Loft), a website chatbot (Drift), and a sales/ contact manager database (CRM) to target and document prospecting activity.

Accountabilities

Responding to inbound marketing leads; calling targeted lists of prospective customers
(Out-bound calls) speaking to prospects to generate leads that turn into sales opportunities; documentation in CRM(Salesforce) and relaying to respective Sales Representative.

Monitoring and responding to the Orchard Chatbot, Voicemail and email accounts.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Experience with SalesForce CRM or other sales/contact management database a plus.
  • Previous lead generation, sales, and/or account management experience a plus.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Able to speak comfortably over the telephone to generate and nurture sales leads; Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal oriented; Capable of multi-tasking and working with a variety of people.
  • Strong computer skills are required with experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of the clinical laboratory and/or the LIS industry a plus.
Physical Demands/Working Environment:
  • Typical office and remote working environment
  • Able to sit and do phone and computer work.
